The Rupes BigFoot LHR15 MK5 is the latest offering from Rupes in their very popular LHR15 series. Each update has seen carefully thought out changes to improve efficiency, comfort, and performance.

As always the LHR15 MK5 features a 125mm backing plate and a 15mm throw in the orbit. It is capable of carrying out anything from quick paintwork enhancements to full paint corrections with ease thanks to the efficient use of power and its large 15mm throw.

The LHR15 MK5 has a number of improvements over the previous version, most notably is the new POLYSYNTHEC composite gears, which offer superior resistance to wear even under the most demanding workloads. These gears are lighter than traditional metal gears and require less lubrication, thus improving the efficiency of the motor and reducing energy loss. The result is a drastic reduction in vibration and noise, improving comfort during prolonged use. The reduction in vibration is particularly important because it allows the operator to maintain a more stable grip, improving the precision of movements and the quality of the polishing. This also reduces fatigue during long work sessions, ensuring consistent and professional results. The 47% reduction in noise compared to previous models, however, makes the work environment quieter and more pleasant, protecting the operator’s hearing.

Another improvement with the MK5 is the introduction of the Precision Pro backing plates that are designed to ensure optimal balance when using different pads. This backing plate features a protective rubber edge, which ensures greater safety when polishing delicate surfaces. The LHR15 MK5 polishers have a low centre of gravity, lowered by 13mm compared to previous models. This allows unparalleled stability and superior control of the tool, especially in complex work situations. With a lower centre of gravity, the operator can manoeuvre the polisher with greater precision, even when working on complex surfaces or intricate details.
